About Powered Up Content
Powered Up Content provides content marketing services to women business owners who don’t have the time or inclination to write their own content but want to make sure they are reaching as many people as possible because they know their business does good.
Every piece of content is backed by strategic thinking and grounded in storytelling practices because businesses need content that inspires action, not just likes. Hand over your monthly marketing to-dos or the website rewrite that has been on your mind for far too long, trusting your copy and content will have the same spark as if you wrote it yourself.
Meet the Founder
Rebecca Clark, content and copywriter
Before I started my business, I was a student, studying Creative Writing at university. I knew I wanted to write for a living but I wasn’t quite sure how I was going to make it happen.
I first got the idea to apply my love for creative writing to marketing for small businesses in 2020. Having finished my degree unceremoniously in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was stuck at my parents’ house wondering what I was going to do now. Restless to get started, I tried out freelancing to gain some experience. Since then, I never looked back. I enjoyed collaborating with small businesses on a mission. And of course the freedom.
My first client only paid me about £10. I had very little confidence in what I could offer but that has grown so much with experience. Initially, I thought I only knew how to write. Now I see how my creative brain makes the connections to be strategic, connecting the dots between businesses and their ideal clients, products and stories, marketing platforms and sales potential.
Since the beginning, the projects I liked working on most were the ones where I got to collaborate with women business owners. I loved being part of their vision and supporting each other in the pursuit of financial freedom. For women, earning their own money on their own terms is revolutionary. The fact that my writing helps other women to do that feels like such an honour.
My business has given me the freedom to move to a new city (Manchester!) and live in my own apartment by myself. It’s something I can’t take for granted seeing as it wasn’t possible for generations before me.
What would you like to do with the financial freedom of running your own business? Tell me all about it!
